Panda’s Restaurant Development Team Dedicates Their Time to Volunteer
ORGANIZATION: Cortada Elementary, Shirpser Elementary, Potrero Elementary, Boys & Girls Club of Foothills, Santa Anita Family YMCA and South Pasadena San Marino YMCA
DATE:
140 Members of Panda’s
Restaurant Development Team volunteered their time
and resources for local organizations in LA County. Remote associates from
various parts of the country traveled to lend their support for these
initiatives. Their volunteer efforts included beautifying schools, providing
after-school assistance at the Boys & Girls Club, and supporting Los
Angeles fire relief efforts at the YMCA.
Volunteers
at Cortada Elementary worked diligently to remove old weeds and plant vibrant
new flowers at the school's entrance. Meanwhile, at Potrero Elementary,
volunteers refreshed their planters and structures with a fresh coat of paint.
At Shirpser Elementary, they brightened the environment by painting colorful
stone pavers to create a cheerful pathway for students.
As our
volunteers completed their beautification efforts, students and school staff were
filled with joy and excitement over their new vibrant and lively gardens.
"Our
students were beaming with excitement as Panda Cares brought new life to our
campus through the incredible beautification project. Their pride and joy in
creating a more welcoming school environment was truly inspiring. They didn’t
just plant flowers—they planted a sense of community, care, and belonging in
the space they call home. Each flower and plant represent hope, growth, and the
lasting impact of our Cortada family. Thanks to Panda Cares' support, this
project will forever be a part of our school, reminding us that just like these
plants, we too can learn, grow, and thrive together”, said Principal Kaityln Swan-O'Shea
from Cortada Elementary.
Team
Panda assisted the Boys & Girls Club of Foothills with their after-school
programming, such as tutoring and power hour, created event
posters and organized their supply closet.
Lastly, the YMCA facilities in Monrovia and South Pasadena received assistance in sorting donations for victims affected by the Eaton Canyon fire in Altadena.
Our volunteers truly enjoyed the opportunity to give back. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the organizations for creating a memorable and impactful volunteer experience!
