The week following Thanksgiving, on November 28, 2023, club members at the Boys & Girls Club in Stanton, CA were truly grateful for the grand opening of their Panda Cares Center of Hope (PCCOH). The PCCOH is a space for youth to learn, express their creativity, and explore the possibility of a brighter future while feeling safe in a comfortable environment.

The Boys & Girls Club of Stanton used the grant provided by Panda Cares to create the PCCOH within their Academic Learning room. There, club members have the freedom to think outside of the box, read books that take them to another place, utilize state-of-the-art computers to advance their skills for the future, and so much more.

During the grand opening, local Panda Express Operators put Panda’s deep-rooted value of giving into action by providing an unforgettable celebration for the staff and club members. Our volunteers created various activities to interact and play with the kids, handed out delicious Panda meals for dinner as well as Panda Swag and books to each child before they went home. To make the celebration even more exciting, the Panda mascot, Pei Pei, arrived bringing hugs, high fives, and some groovy dance moves to light up the faces of each person in the room.

This haven for club members was made possible by generous contributions from Panda associates and partners who attended the Panda Leader’s Conference in June 2023, demonstrating that when we unite in the spirit of giving, we can make a greater impact on the youth of our communities and continue to make an impression on generations to come.
